Pocket knives have emerged as the most advantageous and multi-features knives. Gone are the days when we had massive knives that were difficult to carry.
People like small sized pocket knives because they are easy to carry and hence they are able to do their routine cutting work easily.
Though there are many features that these knives possess. However, I would like to talk specifically about five brilliant features that I like about these knives.
Following are those five features:
1. Foldable Blade
But, it has happened today. Now we have a knife that can be folded and kept in the pocket. Most importantly, there is no need of a sheath to cover the blade.
The blade can be folded inside the handle and then locked. Similarly, you can open it whenever you want.
There are two ways to open the blade, either by some assistance with your hand or by pushing a button.
2. Locking Mechanism
When the blade is folded inside the handle, the safety lock ensures that the blade does not move unless the user wants.
It prevents it from opening itself. Similarly, when the blade is opened, the safety lock prevents it from folding itself.
3. Switchblade Option
I hate the spring opening mechanism which causes a little delay in the opening of the blade. Switchblade opens quickly and is more reliable.
As I push the button, the blade opens quickly.
4. Seat Belt Cutter
However, I suggest to add this feature in all versions of this knife. This is helpful in emergency situations where I need to cut the seat belt to get out of the car.
5. Bottle Opener
You can use it for opening bottles and cans. If not, you can even use its blade for doing so, but this will be damaging to the blade.
Anyways, these are the five features I like in these knives!
